What to expect during construction:

Storm castings such as swales and inlets will be placed in areas that will best address ponding and flooding.

New storm drains will be placed near each resident’s front yard, and will then connect to a concrete storm pipe placed along McKinnie Avenue. These new stormwater structures will help alleviate flooding and provide proper drainage of storm water.

As pipes are laid under driveways, there will be temporary private driveway restrictions. Contractors will notify homeowners before temporarily restricting the use of resident driveways. Driveway restrictions should last no more than a few hours.

Check back here for project updates, street closings, and lane restrictions alerts once construction begins.

Starting Monday, June 24, 2024, the intersection at McKinnie Avenue and Wayne Trace will be closed due to construction, through June 29, 2024.
