Hamilton / Bloomingdale Lead Service Line and Water Main Replacement

Page last updated February 24, 2026

To ensure customers located in the Hamilton / Bloomingdale neighborhoods are provided with reliable drinking water service, City Utilities is replacing nearly 3.5 miles of water main with durable, flexible pipe. This to reduce the number of water main breaks in the area.

In addition to water main replacements, City Utilities is offering property owners in the Hamilton/Bloomingdale neighborhood area (Tract 6) with lead service line replacements.

Why does your water service line need to be replaced? Some older homes are connected to the public water mains by lead service lines which is unsafe. You can reduce the health risks by replacing them! To learn more, visit our lead service line page!
