Drop shaft work continues throughout the tunnel works program.
Photos below taken this week — on the left where we see drop shaft 5 (Thieme Drive) where the thimble which provides a fixed dimensional opening to the pipe and diversion structure was installed and iron workers -place rebar. The photo on the right shows view from inside drop shaft 3 (Brown Street) where wall ties were removed.
Below on left we see the vortex installation at drop shaft 7 (Guldlin Park) and rebar installation at drop shaft 1 (Foster Park). Week of March 15-19.
